TRAVERSE CITY — Irene C. Owsen, 84, of Traverse City, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Munson Medical Center.

Irene was born in Detroit as the daughter of the late Francis and Frances (Rudnik) Bonkowski. She married the late Paul Owsen also in Detroit. Surviving Irene is her daughter, Karen (Owsen) Leaver of Traverse City, a granddaughter, Rachel Leaver, and sister-in-law Doris Bonkowski.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband Paul, son James and brother Arthur Bonkowski.
