Errol Long Obituary

Errol V. Long, 87, of Roanoke and formerly of Bristol, Tenn., passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008, at the VA Veterans Care Center. Mr. Long was a World War II veteran, serving with the 43rd Naval Seabee Battalion from 1941-1943. He was retired from Assoc. Transport and Smith Transfer as well as Crestar Bank. He is survived by his wife, Billie M. Long; three sons, Ronald, Jackie and Jeff; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at Virginia Veterans Care Center and the VA Medical Center. Services will be private. Arrangements handled by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory, 366-0707.

AUNT Margaret and family
Sorry to hear about Uncle Errol passing away. I know it has been hard the last few years but he is at peace now. Take care of yourself and tell the boys hi. Mom is doing ok. Keep in touch. We love you all.
