Aileen Virginia Ranson

Aileen Virginia Ranson, 89, of Glade Hill, Va., and formerly of St. Albans, W.Va., died Friday, August 29, 2008. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and a member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church. Mrs. Ranson was preceded in death by her parents, John Marshall and Almeda Vickers Cunningham; her brothers, Marshall, John, James and Donald Cunningham; sister, Louise Vaughan. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, K.R. (Chib) Ranson; sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph and Belva Ranson, Don and Karen Ranson, Michael and Suzanne Ranson; daughter, Constance (Connie) Ranson; six grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by her special friends and neighbors, Luther and Rose Scott, Gary and Betty Hatfield. Special thanks to all of her caregivers at Franklin Health Care Center. A memorial service will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Thursday with the Dr. John Plummer officiating.
