Norris Snead Obituary

Norris Vance Snead, 66, of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008. He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army. Preceding him in death were his parents, Vance B. and Dorothy Snead. His surviving family includes his brother, Melvin B. Snead; numerous cousins including Don DeBusk; and special friends, Mrs. Annette Smith and Percy Moore. In honor of the family's request, there will be no public visitation. A public graveside service, however, will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke. Online condolences to the family may be made at johnmoakey.com. The Snead family is being served by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, 540-389-5441.
