Debra Brumfield Obituary

Debra Jean Brumfield, 56, of Blacksburg, died Sunday, August 31, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in Radford, Va., on February 4, 1952, to the late Calvin Douglas and Hazel Slusher Sifford. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dreama Lee Sifford. She was a member of Cornersview Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by her husband, Richard G. Brumfield, of Blacksburg; two daughters, Donetta Sifford and boyfriend, Darrell Sifford, of Parrott, Samantha Brumfield, of Blacksburg; two grandchildren, Madison and Olivia Viars, of Parrott; special aunts, Molly, Barbara and Susie; special niece, Sharon Jones and fiancé, Robert Frasure; special great-niece, Heather Thornton; special nephew, Beaver Jones and his family; special cousin, Bonnie Plaster; and numerous family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. Interment will follow in North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cornersview Pentecostal Holiness Church, c/o Eldean Burke, 205 Wades Lane, Christiansburg, Va. 24073. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.

To The Family
My deepesr sympathy to the family. I knew Debbie when we were young. She in Parrott, me in Belsprings. She was a sweet person, her personality was so great, that you would never forget her. May God bless and her memories give you comfort.
