Eva McCarty Obituary

For everyone life is happiness and death is sorrow, sometimes happy, again sad, but still a beginning and an end. The beginning for Eva Mae (Jackson) McCarty was April 3, 1933, to the late Anna Eva (Jones) Jackson and Rufus Jackson Sr. Eva's ending was at her home on the morning of Wednesday, September 3, 2008, when she went home to God. Eva lived here on earth with us for 75 years and five months. She was the fourth of seven children of the Jackson's. She was united in marriage to the late Frederick McCarty on December 1, 1956, who was killed in action in Viet Nam in 1968. She gave birth to three sons, Willie C. Jackson, of Pocomoke City, Md., the late Adam Sims Jr. and Terry D. McCarty, of Indianapolis, Ind. She also leaves to mourn two sisters, Gussie Howard and Loureatha Childs; three daughters-in-law, Doris, Clara and Crystal; six grandchildren, Keith, Tennille, Adam Jr., Frederick, Kevin and D'Ana; a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives; a special friend, Leonard McPerson; and many friends. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2008, in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. Ulas Broady officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Friends may call on Sunday afternoon, September 7, 2008, for viewing at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.Hamlar-Curtis.com.
