I just learned about Bill's passing today.I have known Bill over 20 years and enjoyed our political conversations, his many great fishing stories.

Bill made a difference! He will leave a void and be sorely missed. He spoke of his family often. He lived life...

My Prayers go out to his family.

I just found out this morning of Bill's passing. He has been my barber for about 10 years. More than that though, I considered Bill a good friend. He was always cheerful and never failed to ask about me as well as my sister, Cheryl, who had worked with Bill and cut his hair. Upon losing Cheryl earlier this year, one of the first condolence calls I took was from Bill. I will never forget Bill and will sorely miss him. He often spoke of his family and I extend my deepest sympathy to them. God bless Bill and all who loved him.

Joan and family,

Just heard about Bill from Ginny. I had still kept up with news about Bill thru her all these years, since The Haircutters salon days. I have very fond memories of him, his jokes and stories. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

God Bless,

Joan, I really don't know what to say, I'm not even sure the date that Bill passed. I just heard about it today. God Bless you and your family. He was a wonderful man. I remember working with him at the Haircutters almost 20 years ago. He was like a father to me, I learned a lot from him. And how kind he was to be the photographer at my wedding. He will be sadly missed. He was truly one of a kind!!!!

Dear Joan and the rest of the Nelson Family:

I have known Bill for practically my entire life (we're second cousins). When my brother and sister and I were kids, we used to visit Bill and Lee, and Bessie & Phil at their vacation home on the York River. I remember wonderful summertimes there, the boating and fishing and watching the boats at night travel up and down the river with their lights ablaze. They were magical and carefree days. We kids lost touch with Bill and Lee but about 12 years ago we met accidentally in a hair salon where he was working and it was just like the years had never passed! We had great fun remembering the vacation home and our fun summers and remembering family members who had passed on. He was very kind to my dad who used to have Bill cut his hair and they loved to relive memories too. I last spoke with Bill about a year and a half ago when he called, and we had a wonderful chat to catch up. I was so shocked and saddened to read of his death. He spoke of you all often and was a devoted family man. I pray that you will be comforted by Bill's memory and the memories of your life together and that you know what a truly giving person he was and how devoted he was to you. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Bill has been a great blessing to me and I am proud to know him. He was much more than a haircutter for me as he showed me his kindness and joy everytime I saw him. He was my friend and I will miss him. Thank God for you, Uncle Bill.

I was so shocked to hear of Bill's passing. I was a customer of his for 20 years and considered him a true friend. I always enjoyed my time with him as he shared fishing trips, family news and always a joke. I will miss him deeply and will keep your family in my prayers as you go through this difficult period.

Dear Joan, Sandie, Brian, Rachael, Nelson and the entire family,

I was so shocked and saddened when Sandie informed me about Bill's passing. I had just spoken to him about a week ago and he sounded great. I will always remember him for his incredible kindness and love of family. When I moved out here in 1997, it was Bill who reunited me with the family, and we've been very close every since. I loved him very much.

Page and I want you to know that you and the entire family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

All my love,
Kathy
