I am also a daughter of Daniel Walker and he considered Mr. Tarpley one of his best friends and we always looked forward to Daddy picking up the meat or Mr. Tarpley bringing it to the house. When Junior died it hurt Daddy so bad for Mr. Tarpley to have to suffer that way and was right by his side. He was also afraid for Rick who was there and we lost him in February of this year. May God be with all the family and we know Mr. Travis is happy now with the Lord.

I am sorry to read of Mr. Tarpley's passing. I knew him long, long ago. I would go with my Daddy, Daniel Walker, to Mr. Tarpley's house to get side meat. He had the best! I always liked going there. They were so nice to us. I also remember Junior and I remember when he died. My Daddy went to the funeral. My brother was in the Nam at the time, too. When I go to the Wall, I always look for his name. I also saw his name at the Veteran's Memorial in Danville. My thoughts are with the family.
