June Graybill Obituary

June M. Graybill, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Monday, September 8, 2008, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was retired from the Polk and Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Decatur and May Alice Pyeritz Godsey. Survivors include her three sons, Dr. Charles Lucado, of Clarkesville, Ga., John Lucado, of Ellenton, Fla., and Gary Graybill, of California; her daughter, Gina Richards, of Roanoke, Va.; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2008, in East Hill Cemetery in Bristol with the Rev. John Thrasher officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Akard Funeral Home and will go in precession to the cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you and appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital for the excellent care that they provided for our loved one. I was a co-worker of Gary Grayill's for nearly three years, and although I did not know his mother, it is obvious that she raised a kind, caring son. Gary has been a good friend to me through thick and thin, and my sincere condolences go out to the entire Graybill family.
