Dear Aunt Betty,
I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Tony's passing - I had so many people praying for him - had great hope that he would make it.
My best memory of him and you is when you took Anna and Sr. Vianney and myself tubing down the Delaware River. I have often wanted to do that again... Looks like I will have to do it in 2009 in Uncle Tony's memory.
I will always remember him -- and you -- as the Aunt and Uncle who were daring enough to do things that were different, things that took courage - like racing cars and starting businesses like Shaklee and the Ceramic shop. You were not afraid to try it and let it go when it wasn't working any more.
I am so happy I came to the funeral and would love to have a copy of the homily. Hearing of all Uncle Tony did encourages me to continue to live life to the fullest, believing that if God plants a difficulty in your path, God will give you the insight and courage to deal with it and grow with it.
Thank you for living with integrity and courage -- maybe in some way, you are one of the reasons these values are so important to me. I love you both!!!

Dear "Grandma" Betty: I was very, very sad to hear about what happened to Uncle Tony. I will always remember how you and he took such great care of me when I was little and how he let me ride the tractor in your back yard. I'm sending you lots of hugs to help ease your pain. I betcha he and my Grandpa will be laughing together again like they used to!

Dear Aunt Betty and Family. Although it's been years, I can clearly remember how much fun we had as kids when we would come over and play with Uncle Tony's slot car racing sets. He was so generous to let us race and always shared his boyish enthusiasm with us. My deepest sympathies.

Dear Aunt Betty and family,
Even though we didn't get to see you and Uncle Tony that often since you moved to Virginia, please believe I have thought of both of you frequently.... just a few weeks ago Mom and I were talking about him at an Air Force show we went to!
