Catherine Simpkins Grim

Catherine Simpkins Grim, of Pilot, Va., died Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at Kroontji Health Care Center at Warm Hearth Village, Blacksburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zoll L. Grim Jr.; parents, Bentley and Rebecca Simpkins; brothers, Olsen, Craig, Cecil and Gray; sister, Otis; and two greatgrandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Oveda (Jack) Cooke, of Whiting, N.J.; brotherin-law, Kermit (Frances) L. Grim, of Floyd; daughters, Glenna (Jim) Jones, of Riner, Jane (James) Gordon, of Christiansburg, and Dorothy (Billy) Martin, of Radford; grandchildren, Weldon and Eric (Martha) Jones, of Riner, Kent (Cindy) Jones, of Concord, N.C., Myran (Doug) Moore, of Douglas, Wyo., Nathan (Karen) Lucas, of Alexandria, and Mitch (Kathy) Martin, of Stanley; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home on Thursday, September 11, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2008, in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
