Jamie C. Weatherly

Jamie C. (Aunt Jamie) Weatherly, 96, a prominent resident of Oakvale, W.Va., died Saturday, September 13, 2008, at the residence of her daughter in Roanoke, Va. Born February 4, 1912, at Adairs Run in Mercer County she was the daughter of the late John W. and Florence Thornton Crawford. (Aunt Jamie) was a faithful member of the Kellysville Church of God where she was formerly a very active member of the Willing Worker's of the Church. She was a lifelong resident of the Oakvale area. In addition to her parents, her husband, Raymond E. Weatherly; four sons, Ralph Weatherly, Earl Weatherly, Don Weatherly and Jerry Weatherly; and two daughters, Rita Perdue and Genevieve Bouldin preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Eva Ann Steele and her husband, Charles, of Roanoke, Va.; one son, Claude E. Weatherly and his wife, Barbara, of Narrows, Va.; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two greatgrandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and one brother, Paul B. Crawford and his wife, Jerri, of Albuquerque, N.M. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at the Kellysville Church of God in Kellysville, W.Va. with the Pastor Franklin Adkins and the Pastor Eddie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Neely Family Cemetery on Adairs Run near Kellysville. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
