Judith Barbara Dirkes Adams

The earthly body of Judith Barbara Dirkes Adams, 61, of Goodview, Va., died on Saturday, September 13, 2008, after an 11 year battle with cancer. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and Gramy. She is survived by her husband, Bob; and their children, Jack and his wife, Karen, Jennifer Pace and her husband, John, and Ned and his wife, Kat; and grandchildren, Jocelyn Baron, Amanda Pace and Evan Adams. She is also survived by her siblings, Andrea Kish and her husband, Bill, Joan Elderton and her husband, Gary, Janis Dirkes, and Joyce Chavez and her husband, Frank; brother, Bud; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Gary O'Hagan for those 11 years, the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice, particularly, Sue Camden and Pam McKown, for their help over the past two months and all the ladies of the Resurrection Catholic Church Wednesday Women's Group for all their help. There will be visitation and a celebration of Judy's life at Resurrection Catholic Church, 15353 Moneta Road (Route 122), in Moneta beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2008. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at the church with Father Negparanon celebrating. Burial will follow immediately in the church cemetery.
