Florence Blankenship Obituary

Florence Geneava Nelson Blankenship, 76, of Narrows, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 15, 2008 from Pulaski Health & Rehab Center. She was born October 17, 1931 at Smyth County, Va., the daughter of the late William Harrison and Lura Anderson Nelson. She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard and Brenda Blankenship, Danny and Bonnie Blankenship, Jerry Blankenship, of Bland, Keith Blankenship, of Charlotte, N.C.; Kyle (Bucky) and Pam Blankenship, of Narrows; two daughters, Debra Wolfe, Bland, Mary Stanley, Pulaski; a sister, Mae Kirk, Wytheville; brother-in-law, Edward Tickle, Belsprings; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, with Pastor Jim Conley officiating. Burial in the Mountain Field Cemetery, Hollybrook. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
