Warren Slough Obituary

Warren H. Slough, 87, of Buena Vista, Va., died Sunday, September 14, 2008, at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital. He was born November 21, 1920, son of the late Horace P. Sr. and Mary Emma Holt Slough. He was a World War II veteran. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Sunday School treasurer, C.E. Page Bible class, and retired member of Buena Vista Fire Department. He was a letter carrier, retiring in 1981 and a member of Branch #524 National Association of Letter Carriers, Roanoke, Va. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn J. Slough; one sister-in-law, Descie Slough; nieces, Mrs. Elsie Floyd, Mrs. Kim Austin, Mrs. Brenda Vassar and Mrs. Skipper Oliver; and other nieces and nephews, along with many friends. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. John Choi officiating. The family will receive friends anytime at the home. Arrangements by Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Va.

In My Pocket
