Horace Ratcliffe Obituary

Horace Roger Ratcliffe, 90, of Draper, Va., died early Monday evening, September 15, 2008, in the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born in Pulaski County on September 14, 1918, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Elizabeth Rogers Ratcliffe. He was a member of Thornspring United Methodist Church, a veteran having served in the Army Air Corps and was a retired farm worker. He is survived by his sons, Anthony, Roger, John, Mike and Rodney Ratcliffe; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2008, from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darlene Marshall and the Rev. Steve McMurray officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by Pulaski VFW Post #1184. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

We all love you dearly Paw-Paw and will never for get the joy you've brought to our lives!!! I, personally, will miss your jokes, stories and lessons of life that was part of our bond amongst many other times we've had!!!
