Francie,
It's been almost a month since we lost Laura and I still wake up each morning thinking about you, admiring your strength. You have experienced a pain that no parent should have to endure. I love you and I'm here for you. I know you will see Laura in Mason and Cyrus as you watch them grow up. And I know that Mom has taken Laura into her arms in the heavens above: a place free of pain where she will know unconditional love. May God bless you always and may you find love and peace in the cherished memories that you will always have.
With love always, Vicki

Dear Bill and Francie,
As Donnie and I reflected on the news of Laura we both cried and said that this is not supposed to happen. All of the passages here have allowed me to learn that she was a very special young lady.
Grief is a long process. I went through it after my mom's sudden death. Please know that we are thinking of you and hope you will call us if you need anything. Although we have not been in contact for many years, we may be able to help in some small way.
Love,

Ronald Campbell

First off, my condolences and prayers to her family and friends. I can't believe your life was ended so short Laura, but I know you are in a better place. Even through our disagreements and disputes, you still remained a good friend in my heart. We had a past that can never be forgotten. I wish we had the chance to become closer in the past couple of years, but I will always hold onto the memories we did have ; good and bad. I just had another close friend pass away last month and I will leave you with a poem that struck my heart from his funeral ; I had a lot to do, more than most of you, but yet you wonder why I left ? I finished early. I started on time and put in a full day's work, but I finished early. You thought my road would be a long one, but I did run the race, but I finished early. By the measure of a man's time and not God's own time, you look at years, but I did all I was sent to do, I just finished early, but with God it counts not at all how long, how brief, how great, or how small, he looks for a ready heart ..... I just finished early.

You are loved and always will be. You will never know how much you helped my recovery. Having someone to help, has always helped me. I understood your struggles, and your love for your children, and the way you wanted to keep on for them.

I promise to take care of your dad. I promis to be a good grandma and spoil tose kids rotten.
When your dad is able to feel your presence, please be there.

With all the love in my being,

It pains me to hear of Lauras passing, she was such a sweet and wonderful person. She and my older sister Laura Meador were friends in high school. I remember when she first came to Glenvar, many a night I tried to stay awake with the older girls when Laura would come to spend the night. I take comfort in knowing that she is in heaven and has become a guardian angel for so many. She touched many hearts in her 26 short years, and though she may be gone, she will never be forgotten!

Dear Dobbins Family,
I make a living by talking everyday---By always having something to say. Today....there are no words that I can think of that can do your daughter justice. She was a fabulously talented and beautiful young lady whom always brought a smile to my classroom. This world is a lesser place without Laura in it---and I will miss her terribly.
I trust that even as I sit and write, that she is in the loving arms of Jesus, free of the turmoil of this world. My heartfelt prayers and love go out to you.
In Christ,

The Dobbins Family,

While I was not personnally close to Laura, I remember her being in a number of my theater classes at Glenvar High School and all the projects we worked on together. I always admired her creative talent and how kind she was. It breaks my heart to know that such a beautiful person (inside and out) has left this world, but I hold on to the fact that she left, so many of us, with wonderful memories. Know that you are all in my thoughts and my prayers.

September 17, 2008

My heart and prayers go out to your family in this time of such sorrow. I had the pleasure of meeting Laura many years ago in our glorious days of waiting tables at Macados. She became a good friend and will be greatly missed. Over the years we lost touch with the exception of her coming in for an occasional piercing here and there. I wish that I had been able to meet her two wonderful children. Oh the pain you must all be going through. Just know that she was a widely loved individual and while she may no longer be will us, she will never leave us. She left her wonderful mark on this world. I wish her all the peace that she may not have found here.
God be with you.
Jess

To the family:
To be honest, I am found wanting of words. The depth of my sorrow and sympathy for you is profound. I have never had the chance to meet any of you, but I knew Laura well. In these trying times hold fast to the memories, the feelings, the love, friends and family and the guiding hand of God will see you through. The road is long and precarious, but I have faith that you will weather it.

To Laura:
“We do not remember days, we remember moments. The richness of life lies in memories we have.” With love and friendship, I shall never forget you.

Laura,

Seems like yesterday that we were running around without a care in the world. It's crazy how time passes and people seem to drift in and out of your life. Time and situations begin to add distance between those you were close too. When I saw your face in the newspaper I felt a deep emptyness. Just know this, no matter the distance that time and situations have caused, you will always be close by in my thoughts. You will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to the family.

I remember the girl with blue hair and carried a lunchbox when we were 15. She was beautiful and she was my friend. Downtown was always our playground even as young adults. Fast forward, and the last time we exchanged words in this world she was so proud to tell me she was carrying Mason. Reading her last passage in the world today in the paper captured the best in me.

I didn't know Laura but I felt that I had to write something of her message about life that was included in her obit. They were the most eloquent, beautifully written, honest expressions of life I have ever read. It touched my heart and my own life, as I am sure it touched many others. I am sorry for your loss. I don't know the circumstances but I know by reading her written thoughts, she was truely a special person.

To The Family Of Laura Dobbins:

I did not know your daughter but only in reading the obituaries today,
couldn't help but to read about the loss of Laura. My heart goes out to you all and hope that you find peace one day and know she will always be with you in spirit. After reading in her own words what she wrote; brought tears to my eyes. What inspiration and hope she had. I have two daughters of my own and I must say, I want to convey her words to them in hopes that they too will have the understanding she had. May God bless you.

My sincerest regards,

Dear Family Members:Francie
I am sorry to hear of your daughter Laura . We do share in your sorrow and know it is hard to loose a loved one or ones. Francie being a mother myself and that feeling of lost or losing a loved one as I almost lost my youngest daughter in 2006 at age 19 and just being that close to that feeling i cant even imagine how you feel at this moment.Losing my sister in 2005 made me realize how short life is and to cherish each moment as we never know what will happen .
I hope it will bring you some inspiration to know we are all keeping you and your family in our prayers and thoughts.I dont have the right words that will ease you pain of loss but would like to share my favorite verse with you.
