Claudine will be missed, her smile, her giving nature, her warmth and laughter have been silenced , but you all will always have her love and your memories that time can not erase.

What Cancer Cannot Do

Cancer is so limited...

It cannot cripple love

It cannot shatter hope

It cannot corrode faith

It cannot destroy peace

It cannot kill friendship(s)

It cannot suppress memories

It cannot silence courage

It cannot invade the soul

It cannot steal eternal life

It cannot conquer the spirit.

We knew as Claudine in school but I later knew her as a friend named Hazel. No one who ever knew her will ever forget her smiling face and gentle nature! The love she had for her children will always be remembered by any who had the pleasure to witness it. Heaven has received a beautiful person. My prayers are with her family. May God bless all of you.

To: Edna, Clenard, Sonja,
Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to your entire family. We didn't have the privilege of knowing Claudine personally as we do you, but having had a short conversation with her when she worked at McDonalds, we could see what a kind, loving, God fearing woman she was. Her faith never waivered. She was always cheerful and upbeat and praised God through all the good and the bad. She was a special lady. Your entire family holds a special place in our hearts. You have always been there when we needed you. We are trusting God today that He will comfort and guide each of you in the way He would have you go. Please call if we can help in any way. God Bless all of you is our prayer. We love you.

I have so many wonderful memories of Claudine, I couldn't begin to share them all but they probably all include a beautiful welcoming smile & a hug. Anyone who knew Claudine surely knew her as a kind, sweet, giving, hard working lady with a great sense of humor to boot, whose deep spirituality shined thru in all she did.
We had many good talks over the years that she stayed with & took such wonderful care of my Mother. One of the things I learned from those talks was how dearly she loved Danny, all her kids and her Mother. I know it was probably hardest of all for her to leave them. But know that she's not sick anymore & she's with Yoke & her Dad & her babies she lost years ago. She's watching over each & every one of her family until all of you see her again.
Until then, we will all miss her smiling face & those hugs and everything else that made Hazel Claudine Thornsberry Jones the great lady she was.

To the Entire Family!
My deepest sympathy goes out to each and every member of this wonderful family. I feel very blessed to have known such a wonderful lady, I know she will be sadly but oh so fondly missed by each one of you in your own special way. I first knew you by your coming into our pediatric practice Hall, Spillman & Cook, where I was a Nurse then as each of you grew it became New River Valley Pediatrics..34 years later I'm still there, and so are some of you..I can tell you each time was a joy seeing your Mom's smiling face and hearing her loving testimony to the Lord she worshiped..She will be waiting to take each one of you in her loving arms again!!

The lord will provide, He always has and He always will.
Claudine would tell me this many times in our talks over the years. Her faith was unfailing, her love for her family had no bounds, her compassion for her friends and neighbors was unselfish.
Claudine has touched so many peoples lives and left us with precious memories. We are the lucky ones for being honored to have shared a brief time in her life.
