Lee Clay Obituary

Lee W. Clay, 92, of Freedom Square in Seminole, Fla., formerly of Charleston, W.Va., died on Monday, September 22, 2008, at Northside Hospital. He was born in Barboursville, W.Va., and he moved to Florida in 1986 from Charleston, W.Va. In addition to being the West Virginia State Agency Manager for Modern Woodmen of America Life Insurance Society, he proudly served on their Board of Directors for eight years, before retiring at the end of 1981. He was a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church in Seminole. He was inducted into the Masons in 1946 and served in the local area as a guide at the Shriners' Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Henderson Clay; and is survived by his daughter, Jane Ann Clower and husband, Blaine, of Vero Beach; son, Philip Lee Clay and wife, Wendy, of Geneseo, N.Y.; and one grandson, Trey Clower, of Arlington, Va. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home in Charleston, W.Va. Entombment will take place 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Cunningham Memorial Park Mausoleum, St. Albans, W.Va., with Dr. Jim Roberts officiating.
