Derrick, I miss you with every fiber in my being! It hurts so much that as your big sister I was not able to protect you. You were indeed a rare and special man and had a profound effect on every one that you graced with your presence. Derrick. My dear brother. I still love you as if I saw you yesterday. Your memory touches my heart and Im so thankful to be able to have you as my brother. I know that you are watching over me, guiding and protecting me just as you did when you were here. Your friends and family still remember your beautiful smile, your great energy and outlook in life. I know your journey here wasnt easy. You were the greatest sacrifice of our family. We had to lose you to keep me and Jon together and close no matter the time/situation, etc. but we miss you dearly. My only comfort is that now I feel you are always all around me and only a thought away. I wish I could hold you, hug you again. I hate that I didnt learn all I could of you when you were here. I was young and our circumstances were different.... but I am so thankful for every bit of advice, every visit, every effort you ever made to be a big brother to me. I love you. I miss you deeply. You will never ever be forgotten.

DERRICK IT SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY I SAW UR BEAUTIFUL SMILE. WHEN I HEARD WHAT HAPPENED I WAS IN SHOCK AND ACTUALLY I STILL AM. GOD CHOOSE A ANGEL WHEN HE PICKED U. I REMEMBER U BEENING IN 9TH GR AND I WAS IN 12TH AND U ASKED ME WOULD I BE UR BIG SIS AND I AGREED AND I TREATED U LIKE A LIL BROTHER I WOULD TELL U GET TO CLASS I EVEN REMEMBER DOING SOME OF UR HOMEWORK....LOL ONLY BECAUSE I WANTED U TO DO RIGHT AND PASS. Hoppo ~ Its not fair and its not right..... you were the very frist friend we had when we moved to the Apartments. That Smile... That Smile will never be forgotten..... My family loved ya.... you were a big part of the "back bulidings" and i know not just me but everyone is going to miss you alot.
