Brenda Wright Obituary

Brenda Ayers Wright, 56, of Rocky Mount, Va., died Tuesday, September 30, 2008, in the local hospital. She was born January 12, 1952, a daughter of the late Samuel Henry Ayers and Eula Mae Davis Ayers. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Danny Ayers; and great-grandson, Landon Shane Cockram. Brenda is survived by her children and spouses, Nelson and Jennifer Chitwood, Tammy and Eric Jefferson, Teresa and Toby Chaney, Kimberly and Steve Zeigler, and Wendy and Todd Lynch; grandchildren, Sheena and Jenny Jefferson, Mackenzie and Avory Chitwood, Daniel Adkins, Samuel Rigney, Tabathia Wright, Dustin Lynch, Morgan Lynch, and Lila Lynch; greatgrandson, Isaiah James Fink; sister, Louise Underwood; brothers and spouses, Eugene and Frances Ayers, and Samuel and Betty Ayers; and a number of nieces and nephews. Jesus gave Brenda the strength to fight a courageous battle; now she is resting in the victory He won for her because of His amazing grace. A memorial service will be conducted 6 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2008, from the Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. Bill Doss officiating. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care they gave to our mother through her long fight with C.O.P.D., and also special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Thelan and Dr. Aigner. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount, Va.

tammy, teresa,kim,and wendy, i'm sorry for your loss, brenda was afriend,went to school together, married cousins,there were three of you at the time our famlies were always together we done a lot of things together. i will neverforget her laugh,she never met a stranger,your mom will be missed, but god had a plan, she's not suffering now, shes at peace, you all have made a lot of good memoriesgod bless you all, let me know if i can do anything, you know where i'm at just up from tammy's take care

To Brenda's family, I grew up with your mother, we played together when we were little. I have a picture with her daughter at lakeside. Brenda was a fun and good person. I know you guys will miss her. Take care and remember her sweet smile, what a good picture of her, that is the way I remembered her.
