Kevin Clinedinst Obituary

Kevin Ray Clinedinst, 40, of Linton, Ind., passed away Monday, September 29, 2008, at his residence. He was born on April 26, 1968 in Rome, Ga., to Bobbie and Barbara (Dawson) Clinedinst. On March 13, 2006, he married Rachella L. Miller. Kevin served as a 1SG for the Virginia National Guard for 17 years. He was a 1SG in the United States Army with Operation Enduring Freedom, retiring in May 2005. Kevin was a member of American Legion Post #22, VFW Post #10080 of Jacksonville, Md., and Loyal Order of the Moose #2172 of Verona, Va., and DAV Chapter H. Richardson Mem #89. Survivors include his wife, Rachella Clinedinst; three sons, Josiah and Garrett Clinedinst and Michael Waskom; four daughters, Fujko and Mylaka Clinedinst, Kerri Waskom and Hope Dearing; his parents; two sisters, Marrianne Aylor and Julie Simmons; three brothers, Winiston Lamar Clinedinst, Bobbie Andrew Clinedinst and Michael Entsminger. Kevin was preceded in death by his daughter, Mayumi Faith. For those who wish to make memorial contributions, the family has named ASL Association Indiana Chapter. Friends may call at AndersonPoindexter Memory Chapel Linton, Ind., from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2008, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday, October 3, 2008. Funeral services will begin 1 p.m. on Friday with the Rev. Doug Witt officiating. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, with Military Graveside Rites.
