Dear Brogan Family,

I know your hearts are hurting now and I know that all our lives will be changed because of her absence. You see, we could ALL count on "Nannie". A little on the stubborn side, "yes" and she could quickly put you in your place, if you got out of line, but she was one of the hardest working women I have ever known. I remember her at the kitchen sink doing dishes and cooking or doing laundry for her family. She could not bear to know that someone was in need. She had to find a way to meet that need. I know that she took in ironing sometimes when her children were growing up to provide the latest styles in clothing, high school year books, and class rings. Oh yes, and then there was Christmas! She made sure that all the children had that special something they had been dreaming about. She saw I got my favorite Jovan Musk Oil too. I remember sitting around the big round table in her dining room eating some of the most delicious food I've ever tasted. We especially loved her potato soup, corn bread, macaroni salad, and banana pudding. Yum!

I know that recently she made sure that her future with Jesus was settled. That brings me the greatest joy of all, because I know that someday I will see her again.

You will all be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Love,

Taylor Nelson

What are my great memories of Nannie?

I remember as a young child visiting her at her job at the bread store and she would always let me pick out special snacks.

I remember crawling up on her lap and listening to her read and sing from the Childcraft book that we all know so well!

I remember her fixing our booboo's with apenoil.

I remember dinners like no other at Nannie's....she was the best cook ever!

I remember her making sure everyone of us had what we needed..whether it be medicine, food, a ride or anything else we might have needed even if she might not have had it or had to do without. She made sure we had it!

She always made it known that anyone of us would always have a place to come if we ever needed it.

I remember as I got older sitting and playing cards with Nannie and Grandaddy. Those are some of my favorite memories because it was nice to bond with them once I got older.

Even after I moved away I always loved talking to her on the phone and I think of her everyday and she will always hold a special place in my heart. As I know she will in everyones!

There was only one Nannie and there will never be another like her. She loved her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids more than anything and would've done anything for any of us. I know she will be greatly missed by all. But her memories will live on forever!

I love you Nannie!

Love, Leslie
