Nannie Alderman Obituary

Nannie Ruth Alderman, 92, of Christiansburg, Va., died on Thursday, October 2, 2008. She was the daughter to the late Ed and Claudia Hawley Howery. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bobby Howery; and her sister, Rheba Koch. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Alvin Alderman. Together they spoiled three beloved children, Betsy Gaffey-Pitts, Scotty Lancaster, and Britney Wimmer. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Louise Epperly and Ruby Epperly; cousins, Darlene, Derrick, Cassie, Jacey and Taylor; and special friends, Joy Wimmer and Bonnie Wimmer. The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home on Saturday, October 4, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2008, in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Pete Flinchum officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to hornefuneralservice.com. he Alderman family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, Va.

My family met Nannie when my mother, Sylvia Shelor, was at Heritage Hall from March until she passed away on June 24th. Alvin, I bet she is still looking for you as she was every time I visited Mom. I know you will miss her.
