Clifton Woody Obituary

Mr. Clifton T. Woody, 62, of Rocky Mount, Va., died on Tuesday, October 7, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn (Betsy) Woody, of the home; one daughter, Miss Carla Woody, of Fieldale, Va.; three sons, Clifton Woody Jr., of Danville, Va., Carlos Woody, of Rocky Mount, Va., and Reggie Ferguson, of Boones Mill, Va.; mother, Mrs. Mattie Lemon, of Rocky Mount, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Vernell (Ronald) Smallwood, of Beltville, Md., and Miss Claudine Woody, of Martinsville, Va.; four brothers, Jerome Woody, of Rocky Mount, Va., the Rev. Anthony (Mae) Woody, of Martinsville, Va., Vernon (Laverne) Woody, of Sproudsburg, Pa., and Claude (Lucille) Woody, of Sproudsburg, Pa.; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008, at the Pigg River Community Center with the Rev. Anthony Woody officiating. The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be held in Byrd View Cemetery. Arrangements by Stanfield Mortuary Service, Rocky Mount, Va.

Carla i have to say the memories that u and i share is crazy yet happy memories. You were always like my sister and i have always cared about you and your family just as u were my family. I can relate to your sorrow as i too lost my father not to long ago carla. I am sorry i wasn't there for the funeral but i would love to talk to you and see you this is the only way i know of to contact you. Losing someone is very painful but keep your strength in the lord and he will surely see you through AND HE WILL NEVER LET U DOWN !!!!
