My parents met the Wisses when my father came to Virginia Tech in the 60s. My mom was one of the many "foreign wives" that Mrs. Wiss made welcome and helped acclimate to American life. When we moved back to Blacksburg years later our family got a chance to renew the friendship.
We have so many fond memories of being at their lovely home and especially of their gardens. They were among the smartest, most interesting and kindest people I have known.
Mrs. Wiss will truly be missed.

Dorothy was a wonderful lady and we will cherish the fond memories of her. Today we celebrate a life well lived and feel blessed to have known her and Henry Wiss.
Our thoughts are with her niece, nephews and their families: Susan, Bob, Bill, Vick and Anne, Russ and Barry.
With deep sympathies,
Ranji, Vinod, Krisha and Vishesh.
