John Lambert Obituary

John Wesley Lambert, 46, formerly of Wytheville, Va., died on Wednesday, October 8, 2008. He was a 1980 graduate of George Wythe High School and a 1985 graduate of Oklahoma State University. He is preceded in death by one brother, Jeffery Lambert. He is survived by his parents, Judson and Barbara Lambert, of Wytheville; uncle, James Jr. and Linda Wampler, of Laurel, Md.; cousin, James and Carol Wampler, of Ocean City, Md.; special cousin, Miriam Allison; and a host of other family and friends. Memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2008, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Steve Ridenhour and Intern Virgil Cain. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2008, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Jean Lester, P.O. Box 958, Wytheville, Va. 24382 or AGAPE Food Pantry, 405 West Main Street, Wytheville, Va. 24382. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
