Dear Anne and Flick, My sympathy and love and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Aunt Frances was a gentle and refined lady, and I loved her and Uncle Basil very much. So many happy times as kids at the pool at HVCC, Claytor Lake with the Bells', at holidays at your house(loved the ponies at Betty Adams' house to play). She loved the outdoors and her kitty very much. We shared a love of collecting demitase china and I will cherish the set she gave to me. Life passes so quickly, but I will always cherish the memories of our families' time together. I know my Mom and Dad and your Dad, and all who have passed in our family welcomed her with loving arms in the Bosom of Jesus. Her Memory will be Eternal. God Bless you. Love, Nancy Hatcher Mellonas, Wilmington, N.C.

Ann and Flick,
I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Hatcher passing away. I can't begin to tell you the impact that she and your Dad made on my life. She was always so gracious when we visited them and was always so interested in my family. Visiting their home was such a treat and I've thought of her often since leaving the area.
You know that your Dad was my mentor and, even though he ruffled my feathers many times, I know that he genuinely cared about me and sought to assure that I succeeded in life. I certainly would not have accomplished the things that I have were it not for him and I will always be grateful for that. He was something else and I've thought of him often over the years.
Please know that our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you at this time. I know that you both were the stars in their sky.

Ann and Flick,

There are so many wonderful things to say and share about your mother, and your family.

As someone who looked out for us as children, and in recent years always reached out to my children, your mom was the sweetest and friendliest neighbor anyone could hope to have. We are fortunate to have known her all these years, and will miss seeing and visiting with her.

I just wanted you to know what a special lady your mother has always been to us, and how fortunate we feel to have known her.

Sincerely,

Chuck Beasley
