Betty Gray Obituary

Betty Withers Gray, 65, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Friday, October 10, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in Radford, Va., on September 7, 1943, to the late Ray and Helen Porter Withers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Gray. She was a member of Fairlawn Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Wanda Gray, of Blacksburg, Elizabeth Schlang, of Blacksburg, and Amy and Brian Bazar, of Madison, W.Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Robert Coalson, of Fairlawn; half sister, Marie VanLear, of North Carolina; brother, David Withers, of Florida; grandchildren, Megan Schlang, Laura Bazar and Joey Bazar; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2008, in the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Terry Woodard officiating. There will be a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church, 6900 Pulaski Avenue, Fairlawn, Va. 24141. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, Va.
