Douglas Davidson Obituary

Douglas William Davidson, 57, of Roanoke, Va., the last of the "Three Musketeers," passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 11, 2008. Doug was preceded in death by his mother "Totsy"; father, Brooks; brother, Michael Wayne and son, Douglas, Jr. Surviving are his wife, Cynthia; son, Michael; his special grandson, Douglas Brooks; a brother, Ronald and his partner, Danny; and an aunt, Julia. Doug had a special place in his heart for fireworks, the biggest being Douglas Brooks, his grandson. A special thanks is extended to the staff of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and to Jennifer Brown, a special friend. Doug was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2008, at Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. Roy Law will officiate. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
