Elizabeth Gentry Lamb

Elizabeth Gentry Lamb, 93, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2008. She born December 26, 1914, in Glen Allen, Va., and she grew up in Richmond, Va. She lived in Hampton, Va., for several years before moving to Troutville, Va., in 1975. She is preceded in death by her husband, Beverley Randolph Lamb; and a sister, Judith Kincheloe. Elizabeth was an avid hiker and a longtime member of the Appalachian Trail Club. She enjoyed classical music, painting and reading and was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She is survived by a brother, Elliott M. Gentry, of Baton Rouge, La.; and several nieces and nephews including niece, Alice Talbot. A graveside funeral services will be held noon on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Copenhaver officiating.
