Ervin Reed Obituary

Ervin Thomas Reed, 86, of Copper Hill, Va., passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at his home. He is survived by one son, E. Douglas Reed, of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Katheryn (Kay) and Wayne Jacobs, of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Terry Reed, Sharon McCormack, Melissa Payne, and David Smith; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Nichols, of Lynchburg; and two brothers, Merrill Reed, of Marion, and Clyde Reed, of Floyd. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at the Copper Hill Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Branan Thompson and Dr. Jeff Scott officiating. Interment in the Restvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 17, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home in Floyd, Va.
