Geralene Burgess Obituary

Geralene A. Burgess, of Boones Mill, Va., passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. She was owner and operator of Lovely Lady Beauty Salon in Boones Mill for 39 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Everette Lee Burgess. Surviving are her mother, Myrtle Young Burgess; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Al Akers; one nephew, Kevin Akers; special friend, Sarah Minnix; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family extends appreciation to the Dialysis Center for their care and concern for Geralene for the past five years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Franklin County Dialysis Facility, 300 Technology Dr., Rocky Mount, Va. 24151. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2008, from Mountain View Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Williard officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Va.
