Dear Huffard Family-
I am so sorry for your loss and offer my deepest condolences. My heart will always hold a special place for Chet. I can still see him standing in my kitchen, eye-balling the oven and wanting to know,"when in the heck are those brownies gonna be ready?!?!" He will truly be missed.

My Dear Huffards-
I just heard of your loss today and my heart truly aches. Chet was such an important part of my life and I always called him my "first love". We lost touch over the years, but I thought of him often. I laugh every time I drive past LBHS...remembering "the tree incident". My thoughts are with you all during this tragic and trying time.

I am Tony Burrell's wife. We used to talk to Chet on the phone all the time! He would tell me stories about the things him and Tony did in high-school. We called him frequently and we were always laughing together. He came to be like a big brother to me and he said I was like a little sister. I miss his laughter. I miss his stories. Tony always said Chet was like his brother. He was a wonderful guy with a kind heart and an awesome sense of humor. I will never stop missing him and Tony won't either. He will forever live on in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.

It has been a long time since I saw Chet. We dated about 18 years ago and I have many fond memories of him. I remember how much he loved his motorcycle and we enjoyed riding it together on the parkway. He was a very sweet guy with a wonderful smile that lit up the room. It breaks my heart to hear of his passing. I am truly sorry for your loss and will pray for your family. Chet will always have a special place in my heart.

It's very hard to know what to say in this time of sorrow that can ease your pain. I knew Chet from playing sports with him from pee wee all the way through high school. Although I had only seen Chet a handful of times since high school, I still considered him a great friend and will greatly miss him. I am truly sorry for your loss and will keep your family in my prayers.

Dear Huffard Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart sank as I read the announcement in the newspaper this morning.
I wasn't close to Chet, but like others, I was touched by his smile. I was a year behind Chet in school, and was a football manager for a couple of years when he played. I remember that smile & those dimples so vividly.
As a Nurse, I also saw & spoke to Chet not too long ago at the Eye Surgery Center. Even though we'd both aged a little, the smile & dimples were still evident, and my heart skipped a little with each smile, just like in high school. We talked briefly about the turns our lives had taken and how it seemed like only yesterday we were still in high school. I'm thankful to have that memory.
I pray that God surrounds your family with love, and gives you wonderful memories of Chet to sustain you through this difficult time.
