Ina Stump Obituary

Ina M. Stump, 86, of Floyd, Va., passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Skyline Manor Nursing Home where she had made her home for the past 12 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel and Lula Conner Stump; and brother, William J. Stump. She is survived by a special sister, Beulah Walters, of Floyd; sister, Lucy Wilson, of Bassett, Va.; special niece, Hilda Ferris, of Floyd; and two special great-nieces, Dream Tolbert, of Willis, and Rhonda Spangler ,of Floyd. Also surviving are four nieces, Serena Wilson, Reba Nelson, Barbara Lawson, and Betty Wilson; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews, all from the Bassett area. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home in Floyd with the Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Restvale Cemetery in Copper Hill, Va. A very special Thank You to all of the employees at Skyline Manor Nursing Home for the care and compassion that was shown to Ina. May God Bless You All. Flowers will be appreciated or donation may be made to the Floyd County Rescue Squad. The family will receive friend on Friday, October 24, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, Floyd, Va.

We will miss Ina. She had a gentle spirit and always made us smile. May she forever have all the Mountain Dews and BBQ sandwiches that her heart desires!

We will truley miss Ina she was always joking around with us. We could always wake her up in the mornings and she would have a smile on her face she was a loving and caring person and she will be deeply missed by us!! We Love you Ina and can't wait to see you in Heaven one day!!
