Mae Dobbins Obituary

Mae V. Dobbins, 91, of the Bethel Community, Christiansburg, Va., died on Thursday, October 23, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Arminda Sutphin Vaughn; husband, Henry J.; son, Roger S. Dobbins; also an infant sister, Voila; her brothers, Waitman, his wife, Cecil; Moden, his wife, Ola; and Walter W. Vaughn. She is survived by one son, Edgar J., and wife, Judy; one granddaughter, Christie, and her husband, Tom Matte; two great-grandsons, Austin and Carson, all of Atlanta, Ga.; one grandson, Todd J. and his wife, Lisa Dobbins; great-grandson, Easton Dobbins, all of Radford, Va., sister, Arintha and her husband, William Bowyer, of Roanoke, Va.; one sister-in-law, Ann Vaughn, of the Bethel Community; and several nieces and nephews also survive her. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Radford for over 36 years where her funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2008, with the Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Interment will follow in The Vaughn Family Cemetery on Tyler Road, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2008, at The Horne Funeral Home. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 1060 Lovely Mount Drive, Radford, Va. 24141.
