Marshall Fiorini Obituary

Marshall Edward Fiorini, of Wytheville, Va., and formerly of Latrobe, Pa., died on Saturday 25, 2008 ,in Galax, Va. He was born in Loyalhanna, Pa., on January 15, 1917. Marshall was the son of Enes Boscoli Fiorini and Isaac Fiorini. He was the last of his brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Louise Tranquilla Fiorini; four brothers, Billy, Chester, Bert, and James Fiorini; and one sister, Marie Voral. He is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Marsha and Charles Landsbaugh, and Tina and Greg Bruns, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a son and his wife, Kevin and Linda Fiorini, of Galax Va.; six grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. He was raised in Loyalhanna but lived in Latrobe for his married life. He was a Cub Scout leader and enjoyed being active. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years then transferred his membership to the Latrobe United Methodist Church. As a young man, he helped deliver ice and coal for the family business. He then worked for Stupakoff for several years before being hired by Federal Laboratories in Saltsburg, Pa. He was initially a machinist but soon advanced to being a tool and die maker. He then became the Shop Supervisor over the hose clamp division. He remained at Federal Laboratories for 37 years until his retirement. After retirement he enjoyed working in his woodshop and doing general maintenance on his home. He especially liked making small things like small vehicles and bird houses. He moved to Wytheville, Va., in 2003 to live with his son. Marshall's smile and love for life will be missed by many people. He was a member of the Loyalhanna Lodge No. #275, Free and Accepted Masons, Latrobe, Pa., 35 Degree Shriner, and Tallcedars of Lebanon for over 50 years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m.. at the Grubb Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va., and on Thursday, October 30, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lapotich Funeral Home, Latrobe, Pa. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2008, at the Unity Cemetery, Latrobe. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
