Lenora Holley Obituary

Lenora Naomi Holley, 88, of 1222 Old Orchard Place, in Pearisburg, Va., passed away Saturday, October 26, 2008, at Riverview Nursing Home, in Rich Creek. Born in Kanawha Co., W.Va., on December 19, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Edna Brogan DeWees. She was preceded in death by sisters, Blanche and Harry Sutton and Gladys and Easley Hamblin. Mrs. Holley was a faithful attendee of Pembroke First United Methodist Church until her health prevented her from driving. Mrs. Holley enjoyed her home, cooking and sewing. She leaves to cherish her memory, her nieces, Nancy and Jerry Lafon, Irene O'Dell; and her nephew, John Hamblin, all of Pembroke; her cousins, Patty Spears, Anna Rose Bryant, Edna Lee Smith and Marganie Wines; her longtime friend, Audrey Nunley; her longtime caregiver, Babbie Meadows; and her many friends at Old Orchard Place. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning, October 28, 2008, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. David Cope officiating. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St., in Pembroke, one hour before the services. Burial will follow in the Rome-Proctorville Cemetery, in Proctorville, Ohio.
