To the Thornhill family,
Known as "Thornhill" among the Rke. City School family, your loved one was so admired for his work ethic and warm spirit - a dedicated employee. His smile and quiet manner drew students and co-workers to him even as a "floater" to school families who did not really know him!
May you accept his entry into Eternal Life. God's blessings to you....

Dear Aunt Florine and Family:
I am so very sorry that we were unable to console you in person, but our love, hearts and thoughts are with each and every relative of Robert's during this time of bereavement. May God bless each and everyone now and always. Robert is in good hands. I will always remember my cousin Robert Lee. We had some memorable times growing up as kids when I visited Roanoke during the summer.
Love,
Geraldine and family.

I was blessed to have known "Mr. T." as I called him, during the time I lived in Roanoke. He was such a wonderful person. He always had a smile and loved a good joke. I will always remember his laughter. You will truly be missed Mr. T. Rest in God's arms knowing that you touched many peoples' lives, and that you made a difference in this world. You made it a better place.

Mr. Thornhill will never be forgotten by the William Fleming family. He was always so good to both the faculty and the students, and cared deeply for the efficient running of our school under Ms. Szathmary. I will keep his family in my prayers and thoughts.

My prayers are with Mr. Thornhill's family. Words cannot express how much his friendship meant to me when I came to Fleming High School. He was a gentle, kind soul, and he never learned how to say "no" to people. Truly, God blessed me when I met Mr. Thornhill.

Mr. Thornhill and I worked together at William Fleming High School. He was much loved and respected by both the students and staff. One year the students decided to show Mr. Thornhill how much he meant to them by dedicating the yearbook to him. I can remember how humbled he was by the standing ovation he received from the Fleming family. Mr. Thornhill led and taught by example. He spoke frequently of his mother and I always felt he learned his work ethic and sense of duty from her. I am very blessed that I had the opportunity to know Mr. Thornhill and I will cherish my memories of him. I would like for his family to know they are in my thoughts and prayers.

We are all looking forward to the day when Almighty God does away with death, mourning, sickness, ageing, and pain. (Rev. 21:3,4; Job 33:25)
Then we shall see our loved ones again. (John 5:25,28-29; Acts 17:31)
