Ronald Rearick Obituary

Ronald Roy Rearick, 70, of Roanoke, Va., departed this life on Sunday, October 26, 2008, to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born October 31, 1937, in Ohio, a son of the late George S. Rearick and Dorothy R. Watkins Morgan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Donna Johnson; and two children, Pamela and Robert Rearick. He retired from the Norfolk and Western Railway after 44 years of service. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Carol Rearick; daughter, Kathalene Hairston (Ronnie); son, Steven Rearick (Betty); grandchildren, Melissa, Heather, Wesley and Myia; great-grandchildren, Zyria and Myleta; siblings, Herbert Rearick, Joan Willis, Georgia Wilson, Carol Wise, Frances Nicewandu, Clara Jean May, Mary Lou Curtician, Roberta Scott, and Rita Sue. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Kenneth Foutz. Interment will follow in Daleville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon on Wednesday until service time at Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
