Jean Benway Bannister

Jean Benway Bannister, 82, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Monday, October 27, 2008. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Wallace Sr. and Jane Ann Straight Benway; and her husbands, Oscar Frank Beaudry and William Franklin Bannister. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jane Varalli and Peter Fellowes, of Sneads Ferry, N.C.; stepdaughter, Onedia Beamon, of North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Howard Hayes, of New Mexico; brother and sister-in-law, Charles W. Jr. and Myrtle Benway, of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Daniel Miles Varalli, Jill Noelle and Joshua Bell, and Alison Laine Varalli; and great-grandchildren, Emerson Elijah Bell and Acadia Harper Bell. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2008, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Pastor Ron Young and Mr. Charles W.
