I met Joe when I started working at Carilion. From the first time we met I knew we would be friends. He was such a kind person, always able to make me laugh. I will miss him a lot. I am just so thankful I got the chance to know him. I will be praying for you and your family.

My heart just breaks at the news of your Dad's passing....Joe was such a wonderful man and such a comfort to our family when my Dad underwent his open heart surgery. I don't think I could have made it through the day without your Dad.
I will always have wonderful memories of our highschool days because of your Dad....football games, dances, parties, and great friendships. He made you feel like family and you were always welcome.

Joe's dedicated service as a hospital volunteer over the past 12 years will be truly missed at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He touched many lives and his memory will live on in the hearts of the Guest & Volunteer Services staff and volunteers.

Joe and I started school together at St. Andrews in 1949 and remained friends for the next 59+years. In those days, I was taller than him,so, in line at school, I was behind him for the next 12 years.
