Margaret Berry Sullivan

Margaret Berry Sullivan, 89, of Roanoke, passed away October 31, 2008, at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem. She was born on May 1, 1919, in Rockingham County, Va. As a young woman, she worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was awarded a Certificate of Honorable War Service during World War II. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Salem. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary M. Sullivan, of Roanoke; her sister, Judith Berry-Pit, of Sarasota, Fla.; and parents, Russell and Gladys Berry. She is survived by her brother, Russell H. Berry Jr., of Rockledge, Fla.; a son, Gary Jr. (Patricia), Richmond, Va.; and a daughter, Susan Stuck, Montgomery, Ala.; grandchildren, David and Charlotte Sullivan, Richmond, Va., Chris Stuck (April), San Antonio, Texas, and Travis Stuck (Melanie), Columbus, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Emery, Cailey, Evan and Ryan Stuck, San Antonio, Texas, and Payton Stuck, of Columbus, Ga.; and a nephew, Bill Craig, Sarasota, Fla. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Oakey's South Chapel, Route 419 and Brambleton Ave., with the Reverend Rick Elmore officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1923 East Main Street, Salem, Va. 24153. Arrangements are being handled by Oakey's South Chapel.
