Annie Elizabeth Dowdy Bradberry

Annie Elizabeth Dowdy Bradberry, 84, formerly of Blacksburg, died Thursday, November 13, 2008 in Leesburg, Fla. She was born in Radford, Va. on May 9, 1924 to the late James Kent and Lena Sowers Dowdy and was also preceded in death by her husband, William Bradberry. She is survived by her two daughters, Peggy Herlong, of Leesburg, Fla., Becky Howard, of Inverness, Fla.; two sisters, Faye Smith, of McCoy, Va. and Betty Waldrop, of Alexandria, Va.; three brothers, Russell Dowdy, Billy Dowdy, and Jimmy Dowdy, all of Christiansburg, Va.; five grandchildren ; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jerry Dowdy and the Rev. Stanley Smith, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2008 at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Va.
