Peggy was like a second Mother to me after my own Mother passed
away. I will never forget her kindness and sweet personality. She
was just a fun loving person and
went out of her way to help you in
any way she could. I will keep Jeff
and all of her family in my prayers.
She is home now with her husband
and I am sure she is happy to see
him. I will always love you my dear
friend Ms. Peggy.

I met Peggy at the Ronald McDonald House in Roanoke Va about 6 years ago. She really helped our family through a very difficult time. She knew what to do to encourage us and make us comfortable. We were instant friends. She was a lovely lady with a great personality. She will be missed by all who knew her. Love and Prayers, Dottie Chudina

I'll deeply miss my Aunt "Piggy". She was a real influence in my life and showed me that I too could grow up to be a fun-loving family woman AND be a successful professional.
She spent a lot of time with us when we were all younger. I remember our fun outings to the car wash when I was 7. What magic to see! Just to be with her was a joy.
I love you Peggy and will miss you!

Everyone will certainly miss Peggy's smiling face and wonderful sense of humor. We met through Ronald McDonald House and continued our friendship through many years. She replaced me as weekend manager and did much more than that. She truly loved working there -so much so that she continued to work even after she became ill. I now live in Georgia but managed to keep in touch and see her every time I came to Roanoke. We even had lunch together at the Hotel Roanoke the last time I was there.
I know she will be happy to be with Garland and Judy. I can almost hear her laughter. My sincere sympathy to each of you and many thanks to Betty and George for taking her into their home. I'm sure that meant the world to Peggy - being with people she loved.

My husband Henry and I would like to express our very deep sympathy to all the family. Peggy will be miss so very much. I worked with Peggy at the telephone company and also enjoyed our friendship on many a bus trip that Peggy had gotten together. We both enjoyed our time with the Telephone Pioneers and we know how hard she worked with the Ronald McDonald House. Peggy and I enjoyed good times together in ABWA. Peggy was a very loving, caring person and enjoyed life so. News of her passing came as a real shock to both of us. We will keep all of her family in our prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Peggy's entire family. We always loved Peggy. Her sense of humor and her sweet personality was so welcoming. It was always fun to see her or run into her someplace - usually the Roanoker - and have a good laugh. She really cared about the folks at the Ronald McDonald house and loved her time there & I'm sure she brought such delight to them during their bad times.
I think of a story about Peggy when she & Polly had new cars & were backing out of a lot one time & backed into each other & just got out of the cars & laughed. Who else in this world would do that? Peggy knew it was just a car & her friendship was worth so much more. That was just the way Peggy was. She knew what was important in life and I think she enjoyed herself to the fullest. There is a lot to be said for that.
She is in a better place with no pain now to bring happiness to those she is with there. She is one in a million and fond memories of her will live in our hearts forever. May you find peace very soon.
Sincerely -
Curtis & Charmaine Carmack
