Eloise Goodnight Obituary

Eloise Goodnight, 89, of Kokomo, Ind., died at 3:36 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2008, at her residence. She was born in Grant County, Ind., to the late Elven L. and Rosa (Stevens) Bragg. She moved to Kokomo from Marion in 1966. Eloise married Allen E. Goodnight in 1964. He preceded her in death in 1980. She retired from Bill Bertram Photography, Kokomo and previously worked at Harvey's Restaurant, Kokomo. She was a member of Southside First Church of God. Eloise loved to knit and crochet. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, IU Basketball and the Chicago Cubs. She was an excellent cook everyone especially loved her noodles. Memorial contributions may be directed to Cancer Services of Grant County. Online condolences may be made at www.nswcares.com. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Needham-StoreyWampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, Ind., with Pastor Terry Tubs officiating and visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial at Estates of Serenity. Survivors include her daughter, Jackie (JC) Kirk, of North Webster, Ind.; son, Fred and Peggy Leward, of Roanoke, Va.; stepson, Richard and Jeanie Angell, of Tipton, Ind.; grandchildren, Stacy and Mike Dickerson, of North Webster, Ind., David and Lisa Lewark, of Stafford, Va., and Kevin Kirk, of Marion, Ind.; and greatgrandchildren, Courtney and Justin Martin, Allison, Lindsey, Austin, Logan, Josh and Nicole. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Russell, Oral, Delmer, and Ernest Bragg; sisters, Luella Harvey and Iva Foulk; her husband, Allen E. Goodnight; and parents, Elven and Rosa Bragg.
