Bonnie Cales Obituary

Bonnie G. Cales, 61, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Cales and Oather Cales and a brother, Lee Cales. Surviving are her brother, Dwayne Cales; nephew, Stephen W. Cales and his mother, Katherine Hamilton; special friend, Wanda Wyrick and her constant companions, Rosie-Posie, Billy, Snowflake, Pixel and Sabrina. The family would like to extend their thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008 at Huntington Court United Methodist Church with the Rev. Russell Cheatham officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Oakey's North Chapel 362-1237.

It has been many years since we were at Fleming together, but I remember Bonnie. I know she is in a better place now. My heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends now grieving her loss.

Bonnie lives on in the memories of those who knew her.
