Edna Ross Obituary

Edna Anderson Ross, 80, of Troutdale, Va., passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2008. She was born on August 30, 1928, in Grayson County, daughter of the late Elijah Anderson and Lessie Cornett Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond 0. Ross. Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law, Patricia and Gary Hampton, of Fries, Va., and Phyllis Ross, of Troutdale, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Vickie Ross, of Hillsville, Va.; four grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren; and sister-inlaw, Eva Anderson, of Troutdale, Va. The body is at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, Va. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2008, in Rockbridge Baptist Church, Troutdale, Va. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Cemetery. The Rev. Ted Bonham and the Rev. George Russell officiating. The body will lie in state at the church 30 minutes preceding the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday night, November 29, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, Va., is in charge of arrangements.

I was so sorry to learn of Edna's death. I somehow missed the notice in the paper. I got a card from Edna Parks today 12/9 and learmed about it. Please know all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
