Joseph Randall Gillispie

Joseph Randall Gillispie, 23, of Ferrum, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 5, 2008. Joseph was an avid hunter, fisherman and all round outdoorsman. He loved dogs and riding his 4 wheeler. A kind and loving person who never complained and was willing to do anything for anybody. Preceding Joseph in death were his grandparents, Anna and Carl Gillispie and Margaret Kindla; and his great-grandparents, Nettie and Frazer Gillispie, John and Mable Rice, Edgar and Helen Joyce and Margarite Lyssy. Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, Randall Carl and Cynthia Rose Kindla Gillispie; brothers, John Matthew Gillispie, with whom he had a loving and special relationship, and John Arnold Gillispie and William Hall; grandfather, August Kindla; uncle, Roger Michael Gillispie and wife, Jackie; aunts, Regena Gillispie and Robin Miller and husband, Rick; and a special aunt, Geneva Adams and husband, Frank. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 8, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Twin Oaks Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Covey officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 7, 2008, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church. The family would like to send a heartfelt and special thank you to the church family at Twin Oaks Baptist Church, Joseph's co-workers at Watson-Smith Construction and to a special friend, Jacob Rusgrove.
