Van Davis Obituary

Van Trigg Davis Jr., 84, of Salem, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 4, 2008, at Virginia Veterans Care Center, Roanoke. He was born on May 17, 1924, at Ripplemead, Va., the son of the late Van Trigg and Roberta Virginia Albert Davis. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and was a retired employee of the N & W Railroad. He is survived by his wife, Anna Sue Davis; one daughter, Sally Davis, of Roanoke; one son, Robert Davis, of Roanoke; one brother, Ernest C. Davis and wife, Ruby, of Staffordsville; and one sister, Ruby D. Johnston, of Staffordsville. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2008, at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate with Charlie Henderson officiating. Burial in the Eaton's Chapel Cemetery, Staffordsville. The visitation will be held from noon on Sunday until service time. The family would like to say thanks to all the employees at Virginia Veterans Care Center for their excellent care.
